Anita Bowen

Anita had an early interest in health care as a teenager and went on to study a Bachelor of Nursing at QUT.
With a passion for helping people, she has worked as a Registered Nurse in hospital and community settings, in both paediatrics and adults.
Anita was introduced to acupuncture and found it to be significant in her healing of a back injury and a superior therapy for addressing pain and limited function.
Since completing her acupuncture degree, Anita has focused on sports and orthopaedic acupuncture helping people with pain and limited function and mobility by assessing and treating muscles, tendons, fascia, bone and joints, and the nervous system.
She uses a variety of traditional and contemporary techniques that are backed up by scientific research including motor point acupuncture, dry needling, trigger point therapy, electro stimulation, neurofunctional acupuncture, cupping, IASTM, and injury prevention tailored to each specific patient.
Anita is registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) and is a full member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
She graduated from Endeavour College of Natural Health attaining a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture).
